OPEN! Covid PlanOffering backcountry mountain adventures.Services span guided year-round trips, including hiking, rock climbing, mountaineering, snow-shoeing, cross country ski instruction and tours, backcountry skiing, out of bounds lift-assisted skiing, mountain biking, backpacking, hut trips to locations in the 10th Mountain Hut System, and high altitude training for runners and cyclists. Covid Update:Aspen Alpine Guides is a boutique private guiding service catering to smaller group sizes to maintain a low guide to guest ratio. They have worked with Pitkin County and the U.S. Forest Service to create protocols to be able to offer a range of guided trips. The safety of guides and guests is always a top priority. • Systems are in place to assure that gear and equipment is sanitized and has a rest period before returning to field use. • Guests and guides must maintain CDC social distancing standards of positioning themselves 6 feet apart throughout the trip. • Face masks are required for all guests and guides. They must be worn if a 6-foot distance cannot be maintained. • Guests and guides will drive separately to trailheads. Ride-sharing is possible at 1/2 occupancy of the vehicle.
2020 Summer Programming:Aspen Alpine Guides will be offering only individualized family or tailored group options this summer; no camps or large group classes or events. Summer trips include hikes, bike rides, peak/14er climbs, rock climbing, backpacking, and trail running – offered as individualized family or tailored group options. The guide service can tailor any backcountry trip to a guest’s wishes, such as taking a family of 5 out with small children on backpacking or rock climbing trips. Whatever a guest wants, AAG will try to make it happen. Aspen Alpine Guides also offers a series of international trekking and climbing trips, as well as American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) courses. Areas of operation span Crested Butte to Aspen, Leadville to Vail, Telluride and Moab, Utah. Aspen Alpine Guides specializes in creating custom backcountry adventures for individuals and groups of all abilities and sizes.
