Mountain Parent’s Favorite Dining Spot for Families is the The Homestead @ RVR
The Homestead is, hand down, the most family-friendly restaurant in the area. During the summer kids can  practice putting on the green below the restaurant until food arrives. The large ditch by the putting green cools the air on hot days, and Adirondack chairs make for comfy happy hour seat.  A stunning view of Mt. Sopris tops off the perfect evening. The kid-friendly menu is delicious with great prices.

RVR’s Director of Golf’s shares his thoughts on why the club is so committed to introducing youth to the sport.
“Kids are the future of the game”, says Steve VanDyke, Director of Golf at River Valley Ranch.  Growing up in a golfing family, Steve knows firsthand the positive impact golf can have on valley youth. “I had a solid group of friends growing up and our common connection was golf.”

Part of that commitment to junior golf includes registering the golf course at River Valley Ranch with Youth on Course.  RVR joins over 1400 courses in the United States and Canada that bring affordable golf opportunities to children all the way through their nineteenth birthday.

A $5 round of golf for your kid (Here’s How!)
Youth golfers who sign up at http://www.juniorgolfcolorado.org/joinrenew/ for the introductory program pay $35 for the membership.  Once a member, kids can play a round of golf for only $5 at most participating courses, including River Valley Ranch.

“This is a great partnership for our junior golf program”, Steve shares. “In addition to our youth golf summer programs, hosting high school tournaments and being the home course for the Basalt High School boys golf team, Youth on Course will let us bring the game of golf and all of the great experiences that go along with it to more of our Valley Kids”.
